Mango milkshake is the best option as a refreshing drink who like mangoes and also want refreshment in the hot summer. They enjoy the chill of cold drinks and the flavor of sweet mangoes in one item. Among all milkshakes, not only I but most others like mango milkshake. Now the question is do all the people make mango milk shake by the same method. The answer is no because you can add other ingredients to your likeness to enrich the flavor of a mango milkshake.

mango milkshake recipe

You can prepare the milkshake of mango by simple traditional method or you can add creaminess to it. I am sharing two types of mango milkshake recipes using milk and the second one using non-dairy products. I mostly make the mango milkshake in the summer season for family refreshments and for guests also. You can also serve the delicious chilled mango milk shake to your guest in the hot summer.

Mango milkshake recipe | Make fresh mango milk shake:

Here I am sharing that mango milkshake recipe that I mostly prefer and simple to make. You would also love it once you try it.

Ingredients for mango milk shake:

Mangoes: To make the shake always select ripe and sweet mangoes. If you use sour mangoes, this will result in splitting the milk, and all your shake will go to waste. If fresh mangoes are not available you can also take mango pulp or frozen mangoes.

Milk: Use fresh milk and prefer to take a chilled one. It is for those who want to use dairy milk for a mango shake. However, if anyone does not like dairy milk then he can go for nuts milk or soya milk.

Sweetener: to add sweetness to your milkshake, you can use sugar, maple syrup, or honey in it. However, if you want to change the flavor of the milkshake you can try jaggery, dates, palm sugar, or coconut sugar in it for sweetness.

Nuts: if you add nuts to the mango milkshake, it will keep you full for a longer duration and also further enrich the flavor. You can add nuts if you want some creamy texture in milk shake without adding cream to it.

Ice cream: if you want a thicker and more flavored shake, you can mix ice cream in it. Mango, ice cream, vanilla ice cream, or coconut ice creams can be used for this purpose. Instead of ice cream, whipped cream can also be used.

Topping and flavoring of mango milkshake:

If you are using the best quality fresh mangoes, then I think there is no need to add any flavors. However, if you like extra flavoring then you can use nutmeg, cardamom, saffron, etc. vanilla extract if available can also be used to get a nice flavor.

To make your mango shake more attractive, especially for children and guests you should add some toppings also. You can add sliced almonds, whipped cream, chopped mango or pistachios, etc. But I mostly add coconut powder and chopped almonds as a topping. You can also try chocolate pieces for that.

How to make a quick mango milkshake:

1. First take the mangoes in a basket and rinse them thoroughly. Then peel them off to chop them. You can also chill them for some hours to get a chilled mango shake.

2.  If you want the creamy consistency of your mango milk shake then take 9-10 cashews and soak them for 30 minutes in water or milk and after draining them use them in the shake. If cashews are not available take 10-12 almonds and do the same with them. These will be enough to prepare 4 servings.

3.  Now it's time to add sweetener to the mango shake. Add honey, sugar, or maple syrup according to your likeness. However if you are adding ice cream in the shake, then there is no need to add another sweetener.

5.  Then add the mango pulp or pieces of mango to the mixture. If you want to make 4 servings then add 3 cups of chopped mango or 2 cups of mango pulp. You can change this amount depending on the thickness of the mango milkshake you want.

6.  Finally add the chilled milk and cardamom powder or vanilla extract to the mixture. 2 cups of milk is enough for 4 servings. You can also use coconut milk instead of dairy milk if someone is intolerant to dairy products.

7.  Then blend the mixture well to get a smooth texture. If you think the mango milkshake is too thick you can add some more milk or water.

8.  It is best to taste the shake to check the need for any required ingredient.

9.  Take the serving glasses add ice cubes to it and pour the mango milkshake into them. Do toppings with any of the ingredients mentioned above.

10.  Mango milk shake is ready to enjoy and serve to your kids and guest.

Vegan mango shake recipe:

If someone does not like milk or has any type of dairy allergy, and wants to enjoy the mango shake, then he can. I am sharing with you a dairy-free mango shake recipe commonly called a vegan milkshake recipe.

Ingredients for vegan mango shake:

  • 2 large sized mangoes
  • 2 cups coconut milk
  • Or 2 cups of almond milk
  • Half cup of sugar or 1 by 3 cups of honey

Method to make vegan shake:

1.  Take two large-sized mangoes and rinse them. Peel them off and chop them into small cubes. Put them in a blender and to add flavor you can add cardamom or saffron in it.

2.  To add any extra flavoring is not needed but if you like, add ground cinnamon or vanilla extract to the mango shake.

3.  Then pour 2 cups of almond milk or coconut milk. If these are not available you can use oats milk or oy milk as a substitute.

4.  If you have taken thick coconut milk then add some water to the shake. To chill it further, ice cubes are better to use. I love to add ice cubes after the mango shake is prepared as it adds a more refreshing sense.

5.  Blend the mixture to get a smooth vegan mango shake of your required texture.

6.  Take the clean glasses and pour the mango shake in them and do garnishing with chopped almonds and cashew. If you have no nuts available then you can add chopped mango as a topping to the servings.

Variations in the mango milkshake:

I have shared two methods to make delightful and flavorful mango shakes. But if you want any other variation in the taste or consistency of the shake these are options.

Mango types:

There are different types of mangoes available in the market. Every variety has a different flavor and color. It is best to use Alphonso mangoes for making the perfect and tasty shake. If Alphonso variety is not available then choose some juicy and pulpy type of mangoes having sweet taste.

Avoid such mangoes which have too much fiber in them. While drinking the shake they come in the mouth and disturb the taste. And if you are using more sweet mangoes add sweeteners in less amount. If you want to get a more healthy shake do not use sugar and add some honey to sweet mangoes pulp.

Cream types:

If you want some creamy and thick texture in your shake, then use whipping cream. It can also be used for topping purposes combined with chocolate syrup. It is recommended not to use too much cream in the mango milkshake. It will become high in fat and heavy to drink.

Milk type:

it is best practice to take whole milk but if you do not want fat, then try skimmed milk. Using low-fat or skimmed will in milk shake will make it suitable for those who are concerned about weight loss.

Nut milk:

If fresh milk is not available and sometimes your mood becomes to drink a mango shake. Then use almonds or cashew to make vegan milk and enjoy a delicious mango shake.

Ice cream:

During blending, instead of adding cream some people prefer to use ice cream. You can try ice cream of your favorite flavor but it is good to add mango or chocolate ice cream.

Making kulfi from mango milkshake:

If you have a leftover mango milkshake, you can pour it into a silver container and keep it in the freezer overnight. It will get the form of kulfi and you can enjoy it at any time. It will be like homemade ice cream.

the mango milkshake recipe I have shared is my favorite and usually make this at home. surely you will also like mango milkshake and add in your favorite summer drinks.
